Shahjahanpur: Police Tighten Security for Kanwar Yatra, Every Nook and Corner to be Monitored

 



"187 CCTVs, 15 RT Sets, More Than 137 Police Pickets Deployed"

To ensure the Kanwar Yatra, starting from July 30 in the month of Sawan, is conducted safely, peacefully and in an orderly manner, the Shahjahanpur Police has made extensive security and traffic arrangements. Superintendent of Police Saurabh Dixit has divided the Yatra into a 3-tier security cordon.

"Route Divided into 7 Zones, 17 Sectors and 44 Sub-Sectors"

The entire Kanwar Yatra route has been divided into 07 zones, with the concerned Circle Officer made in-charge of each zone. The route has been divided into 17 sectors, with each sector headed by a Station House Officer / Sub-Inspector. All sector in-charges have been provided with four-wheelers.

Similarly, 44 sub-sectors have been created. Two-wheelers have been provided for each sub-sector to ensure continuous patrolling and prompt action.

"More Than 1450 Police Personnel Deployed"

For the Kanwariyas who will collect water from Panchal Ghat, Farrukhabad and offer it at the Chhoti Kashi Gola Gokarnath Temple, SP Saurabh Dixit has deployed more than 1450 police personnel, including traffic police, along the entire route from Dabri Ramganga River Bridge to Khiri Border leading to Gola Gokarnath Temple. A mobile police squad of 32 motorcycles has been dispatched from the Reserve Police Lines to patrol the Yatra route.

"Foolproof Communication and Surveillance"

For seamless coordination and quick communication, 15 RT sets have been provided. To strengthen security, more than 137 police pickets have been set up on the Yatra route. More than 187 CCTV cameras have been installed along the entire route, which will be monitored 24 hours by the district's CCTV cell.

"Special Focus on Kanwar Camps"

Adequate police force has been deployed to maintain security and law and order at Kanwar camps set up in various police station areas of the district. Continuous surveillance and patrolling will be carried out by the police at the camps and along the Yatra route.

SP Saurabh Dixit said that adequate police force and CCTVs have been deployed for the security of Kanwariyas across the district, and additional teams have been deployed at sensitive places.
